Dr. Darren Holmes is the owner and clinical director of Elite Sports and Spine Chiropractic. He is a 2012 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic,
where he completed 5,415 hours of instruction from other licensed doctors. He trained under Laney Nelson, who was named 2012’s Sports Chiropractor of the Year. He has developed a well-rounded skill set by learning more than 10 treatment techniques. This diversity allows him to treat patients of all ages, skills and abilities.
Advanced training that he completed focused on treating athletic injuries. At Logan College, Dr. Darren Holmes also earned his Master’s Degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. For both degrees, he consistently achieved Dean’s List Honors. Prior to pursuing his chiropractic degree, Dr. Darren Holmes received two Bachelor of Science degrees from Slippery Rock University – one in human biology and one in psychology. Recently, Dr. Holmes has obtained his certification as a Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP®). This places him as an expert in the chiropractic sports medicine field, along with other sports chiropractors that have obtained this certification. He is currently training for a terminal board certification, the Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Practitioners (DACBSP®).
Primary treatment approaches that are utilized by Dr. Darren Holmes focus on multidisciplinary care. “Working with other health professionals drives success with my patients. I have never felt that I have gone wrong when treating the patient from a variety of different approaches”, Dr. Holmes exclaims. His experiences during training at Logan College of Chiropractic founded this thought process. Prior to establishing Elite Sports & Spine Chiropractic, Dr. Darren Holmes practiced in Grove City, Pennsylvania. Additionally, he has formed several working relationships with physical therapists, medical doctors, dentists and athletic trainers. Elite Sports and Spine Chiropractic’s flagship location is located in New Castle, PA. This clinic location offered care to patients early 2014.
